About maps3 Bursary
This valuable and innovative bursary scheme has had great interest and success since it started in 2007. The bursary scheme is there to recognise and celebrate the achievement of the many young people and adults who have now used our MAPS3 programme to further their personal development or career goals.
2011/12 sees the scheme again joining with Institute of Career Guidance, the prizes to be awarded at their annual conference which this year is in Leeds. The web-link for details is:
The bursary offers two prizes of £1000 to individuals who best demonstrate that they have made significant personal development through activities involving MAPS3.
To recognise their time and commitment, the advisor of each winner will also receive £100 high street shopping vouchers.
Each year there have been more and more applicants telling powerful stories of making positive change in their lives. In recognition, all nominees who do not win will receive a gift as recognition of their time and effort in applying.
The Bursary will be available to the winner for payment of any personal development related expenses. These could include items such as college expenses, course/lesson fees and equipment expenses.
An awards event will be held at The Institute of Career Guidance Annual Conference in Leeds, to which the two bursary award winners and their sponsors will be invited. All expenses associated with the award presentation (i.e. transport and hotel expenses will be met by JCA Occupational Psychologists.)
