Becoming a Sponsor and Supporter
JCA deliver a training programme in assessment called MAPS3 that aims to raise motivation and promote self esteem in people aged 14 and above. Our company values and mission (to get the best from people) are based around the important link between wellbeing and productivity.
MAPS has been in successful operation for 12 years and organisations such as Welfare to work agencies, Youth Offending Teams, Connexions, Adult Guidance Providers, Training Providers and a wide variety of training and education agencies use MAPS to support their clients. The name was changed to MAPS+ when it went on-line in 2005, and has now been changed to MAPS3 since 2010.
We want to contribute to the celebration of young achievers through the Bursary scheme. There is too little publicity around the ability of young people and adults to achieve massive positive change, often against some difficult circumstances or challenges. Our aims are to:
- Gather and publicise these success stories
- Support two individuals with money for continuing their development
- Recognise all applicants for the Bursary
- Raise awareness of how MAPS3 and other approaches contribute to empowering success
Ways that organisations/individuals can support
- Supporting celebrations at the ICG Conference
- Providing supporting statements to press/media
- Sponsoring the consolation prizes
- Supporting individuals to apply for the scheme
- Training staff to use MAPS3, with the Bursary scheme as an added value element
- Being the named sponsor
- Sponsoring material used in the administration of the scheme
- Recommending contacts and other approaches in raising the awareness of this Bursary scheme
- Statements of support
- Recommending contacts with businesses who may be interested in supporting the scheme
Potential benefits to contributing organisations
- Furthering the development of direct or indirect clients
- Part of developing a contribution to publicising positive stories of how people can and do change
- Building a case for continuation of their work in supporting people in accessing learning, employment and personal development
- Networking
- Contributing to strategic community based aims
- Staff development
